What’s in YOUR Camera? Show Us!
We can’t wait to see what you’ve been shooting.
Join in our PhotoSlam 2012 and at least one image from each photographer will be printed and shown in the PHOTOSTOP Gallery from May 4-26 during our community Slam! You must be a full or part-time resident of the Upper Valley region to participate. Photographers of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to enter. We’re hoping to continue the tradition of creating a unique exhibition for our area, showcasing the wide variety of photographs residents of all ages from the area are making and to provide a way that photographers can share them with each other. Last year we had over 100 photographers aged 6 to 80 submit work for the PhotoSlam and we printed and hung over 200 photographs on the gallery walls! This year we’re hoping to have at least 200 photographers submit work to the Slam so please tell your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers! This is a chance to share your images with our whole community.
The submission deadline is March 25 at midnight. Regrettably, no submissions can be accepted after this date/time. Entry images can be submitted by email (instructions are below in the downloadable PDF entry form) or they can be delivered to the Gallery in person on a CD with a completed entry form. Click on the link here: UV PhotoSlam 2012 Entry Form to download the entry form with all the details or write us at photostopvt@gmail.com and request that a form be emailed to you. Alternatively, you can just stop by the Gallery and pick up an entry form on our door. The entry fee, which covers the cost of printing your accepted photo/s, refreshments at the opening reception, and promotional expenses is $20, or $10 if you’re age 17 or under. You can pay via PayPal here on the website or send a check. Details are on the entry form.
The Opening reception for the PhotoSlam will be May 4 (a White River Junction First Friday) from 5-8 pm so come join in the fun with your friends and family! We’ll also be hosting an awesome Closing party on May 26th!
To pay the Slam entry fee through our website, click PayPal button below. If you experience difficulty with the PayPal site, log into your PayPal account and create an e-check which can then be sent to photostopvt@gmail.com. If this still doesn’t work, you can send in a check but it must be received through the mail by Wednesday in order to qualify. Checks can always be slipped under the gallery door if you prefer. Payment options are detailed on the entry form.

Is the entry fee $15.00 per image (up to three) or is it $15.00 for all three and you choose which photo/s will be included in the show?

It’s $15 total to enter. Based on the number of final entries, we’ll print from 1 to 3 of your entered photos for the Slam.

Yes, the images will be printed as either an 8×10 or a 5×7 for consistency so it would be best for you to crop the images yourself. If you have any questions, just call me at

The exhibit will be open to the public starting 4/30 but the opening reception is 5/7 (a WRJ First Fridy night) from 5-8 and the closing part will be 5/22 from 5-8 pm. Hope you can come by! Lia
